Chinese Type 56 SKS, French Tickler
The Chinese SKS is a gas operated, semi-automatic firearm engineered to be a military rifle in the 1950's. It utilizes a tilting bolt action system. Integrated into each rifle are a 5-round magazine and folding bayonet. As one of the most popular surplus rifles in Canada because of its relatively low cost and readily available ammo, this rifle is great for plinking or hunting.
The French Tickler handguards are a distinctive feature found on the late original production models from the final two years of manufacturing at the Jianshe Arsenal Factory. These handguards are known for their unique design and are often highly sought after by collectors and firearm enthusiasts.
