The Chinese SKS is a gas‑operated, semi‑automatic rifle engineered as a military service weapon in the 1950s. It uses a tilting‑bolt action and incorporates an integral 5‑round magazine and a folding bayonet. Popular as a relatively low‑cost surplus rifle in Canada with readily available ammunition, the SKS is well suited for plinking or hunting — and in this example the rifle is fitted with a Hush Holster Classic folding stock for a more compact, transportable setup.
