The ATS® Anti-Terror Slug was recently developed in Europe to address the increasingly more dangerous and sophisticated terrorist attacks many EU countries are experiencing. It is a step up in muzzle velocity compared to our Special Forces Short Magnum® (approximately 15% greater), with a lighter, harder slug. This results in correspondingly greater penetration on hard targets at medium distances.Standard handgun ammunition, along with most cartridges for automatic weapons, do not provide the power and penetration required to stop an assailant in an urban environment who might be in a vehicle, a building or behind a barricade. The ATS® was created specifically for those emergencies. It functions flawlessly in virtually any 12 gauge shotgun, rifled or smoothbore, eliminating the need for costly,specialized equipment. It is costly only to those intent upon terrorist acts.

A prime reason behind the creation of the ATS® was to give those tasked with ending terrorist threats a far more powerful, effective alternative to typical handgun and rifleammunition. For example, the ATS® hits with 5.7 times more power than a 9mm handgun at 25 yards. Compared to a 7.62 x 39 Kalashnikov rifle cartridge, it generates 36% more energy at the same distance. Plus, the tremendous power of the ATS® is released more quickly at the target than a pistol or rifle bullet, and there is no comparison to the frontal area that impacts that target.
