The 590A1 SPX is the ultimate in heavy duty, rugged, pump action shotguns. As a testament to its capabilities to withstand harsh and stressful environments, it is currently the pump action shotgun of choice for the U.S. Armed Forces. It features an aluminum trigger guard and safety; a heavy-walled, parkerized barrel for increased durability and effectiveness; and a stunning 9 shot tube capacity.
In addition to this, a multitude of proven Mossberg staples remain, including dual extractors, twin action bars, steel to steel lock-up and an anti-jam elevator, combining for one of the most impressively practical shotguns ever made. Coupled with superb ergonomics and a detachable OKC M9 bayonet, there is much to admire about this firearm.
